nimato Sat Feb 2, 2008 09:31 UTC It's not only the Japanese who destroyed the once beautiful Manila. As they retreated they burned the houses and buildings and brutally killed the people in between (est. at 100,000). The Americans bombed the remainder. | Cancelari Fri Jul 20, 2007 16:06 UTC I don't find this fair: while an american kid who's caught doing drugs will end up in http://www.drugrehab.net/ or in a juvenile correction center, another kid from Manila will end up in jail for the same crime. | sirenna Fri Nov 4, 2005 17:41 UTC Phew, just looking at the smog in the main picture made me want to cough! Nice page though! | Tijavi Thu Aug 5, 2004 13:03 UTC Yes, indeed Manila is a city of many contrasts. Still, I do love this city. Great site! |
