For Hotel: Hotel Des Artistes . The same hotel, has kind of 'hostel' but it's very good one, wouldn't call it hostel
If you need to survive ONE night in Rome for a cheap price (it was around 41 euro double room), but wouldn't stay there more than one night,it's in the center hostel Roma Inn 2000, it's done in a flat, owner, quite friendly guy lives there. good part it's cheap and close to colisseo and center, bad part it's a hostel..
Hostel roma inn 2000 is least expensive in the area. hotel Des Artistes is really good, and not the most expensive.

The elevator like there you can see only in old Hollywood movies! The sign above the window in English: 'Please don't go out the window!'!!! :) I must admit, while staying there, I've had a desire like that for a couple of times ;) lol
