Dante has been here..you? It's a city with ancient roots, it was known before as Montefeltro. Dante has been here, S. Francesco D'Assisi, why don't you go? =). The fortress up the city, that you see in the picture was built in XVth century. From here you see it's surrounded with forest, but from another side it's on the steep rock! |
| | Why "San Leo"? If you want to see typical panoramic view of nature in this region , then San Leo is one of the best place to do that. The view that opens up to the valley of Marecchia is really remarkable, you can even see the Adriatic see! City got his name from his patron - San Leone. |
| | Fortress of San Leo from another side I loved this town.. Loved everything in it. It's a town of middle ages high in the hills with fortress even higher (a museum there) and lower there is a main city part. such a cute place with stunning views. I felt so refreshing there..Maybe something close to my heart? <3 |
