Welcome to the Goan heaven!

Well well, it’s the ambiance actually that makes this place, the place!

First things, first.

Ppl say that season for Goa apart from the gala time of Nov/Dec is the Monsoon of Mid-july and later.

Get a Goa map for about Rs.20/- Really helps to get around.

Baga is supposedly the most “happening” place around. We stayed around this area and you shouldn’t miss the party gown it wears in the night!

Mamboos and Titos are right there. Titos is freaking expensive [I guess, it has unlimited booze or something] but Mamboos is a good place too with a decent entry [they don’t allow stags anyway during busy times, and it’s busy all time].

Mapusa is the nearest city. It’s Friday market is talked about but I personally feel there is nothing spl you get to do there. Not a place for shopping. You can avoid it.

Calangute beach, a north ward extension of Baga beach has a much cheaper and longer rides offer than Baga. Since, it’s just the two of you, I’m not really sure how much difference it would make. For us, the difference was Rs.300 per person for the entire group. Approx cost for the set of 5 rides- Rs. 400. Really good deal. Just attaching his number too, jus’ in case- Shankar 09096868385

Some really enjoy spending time at the Shacks [at Baga or any other beach] just spending time together and lounging on those relaxing chairs. Every shack [restaurant on the beach] you eat food offers these chairs for free as long as you please. So find out, if the hotel guy you are staying at has his own shack at the beach. This’ll make things easy. Sometimes, the hotel ppl provide a vehicle too at reasonable price too.

Activa/ Bike - 200-300 INR per day.

Car- 800-1000 INR per day.

Car recommended for this season.

The Vehicle guy’s no. [near Baga]- 09850941641

Anjuna beach- Tiny beach but Spectacular scenic views. Didn’t notice many places for accommodation here.

Vagator Beach and Chapora Fort- Nothing spl. Dil Chahtha hai was shot at this fort. View from the top, maybe enjoyable. Bike is easier to travel to the top.

Morjim- Excellent beach for swimming. Really shallow waters. Big & spacious.

Arambol- Exteremly narrow entry into the beach. Cars parked elsewhere. Good beach.

On the way from Baga to Anjuna. Totally recommended. Entry fee+ Buffet Rs. 500 only. Unlimited mock/ cock tails at the playing table. Apparently, sources say- it’s the best and the cheapest entry into a casino in Goa. I visited. Equivalent to any other international standards. In front of this place is the Saturday weekly food bazaar.

Siquerim beach- Good but had lotta rush.

Near it- Aguada fort. Excellent view. Fort, just a fort.

Old Goa-
Known for it’s cathedrals and churches.
Recommended- Visit the Sé Cathedral Basilica of Bom Jesus.

St. Augustine tower; totally in ruins. Not recommended.

Check out the Panjim bay in the night.

This is all the stuff reg. North Goa. South Goa, like wise, is known for it’s resorts and is therefore open, all year while the shacks and the beaches don’t really function due to the much obvious rains.
