ABOUT A JUNGLE SURVIVAL TOUR

ABOUT A THREE-DAY JUNGLE SURVIVAL TOUR IN LOPBURI PROVINCE (this chapter is for the thrill-seekers only !)

You may not know that the trekkings you are offered have already been experienced by hundred of thousands of tourists before you... but that's true (just believe me) !

Every inch of the Thai territory is well known. There is no place for a tourist-turned 'Robinson Crusoe' in this part of the world. I agree that this is a very bad news for the newcomers !...

But now, listen to me, if instead you are proposed
to be a tourist-turned 'Rambo' (yes, I said 'Rambo') in the only jungle left in Lopburi province, would you like to take the challenge ? Well, I know a few VT friends who will.

Today, I have got the information that they are looking for and I want to share it with all of you. You may be interested too, so keep
on reading !

This is a new attraction in Thailand, Introduced by the Special Warfare Command Unit in Lopburi province (for your information, the Lopburi Army Command has become the second largest army base apart from Bangkok).

In order to raise some needed funds, it has opened its bases (Lopburi, Lampang, Phitsanuloke and Nakorn Sri Thammarat) to visitors.

In Lopburi, it has introduced a special three-day jungle excursion tour where visitors learn how to survive as a soldier while enjoying nature and wildlife in the Sublunga jungle.
Tower jumping, rock-climbing, weaponry use including M-16 automatic rifles and camping are among the proposed activities.

So, if an army-style adventure tourism is what you are seeking, and if you're ready to pay 2,500 baht (that's the latest information I've got) for the package, please contact the Tourism Department of the Royal Thai Army Command Unit at 036 412 192 or the TAT Tel/fax 036 422 768-9).

And 'good luck to you, 'Rambo to be' !

ABOUT SCUBA DIVING

ABOUT ENJOYING SCUBA DIVING ALL YEAR LONG

Hey, that's a very good news indeed ! Scuba diving all year long (yes ! I repeat : all year long) in Thailand is simply possible either in the North Andaman Sea, the South Andaman Sea or the Gulf of Thailand. The only thing you will have to do is switching from one place to another depending on the time you'll be in Thailand.

Let's put it that way !

Suppose that you plan to stay here between November and May, then you should head to the Andaman Sea (North/South).

Are you coming between June and October ? Then, the best place to dive will be in the Gulf of Thailand.

Some locations are well known for being the world's best scuba diving ones (off Similan, Ko Bon, Ko Tachai, Richelieu Rock Formation and Surin). Thus it won't be difficult once you are on any beach to find a dive operator.

Sharks, whale sharks, sea turtles, marine flowers, hard coral,... are waiting for YOU !

Enjoy your exciting scuba diving excursions and bring back some beautiful pictures to us ! We all want to see them !
