This American style cafeteria-diner offers delicious dining options, including some excellent breakfast choices. This is a restaurants chain. They sell bargain books in the front part of the restaurant. If you feel like to eat something quick and easy to oder this is a good alternative. They have nice salads, enchiladas and pasta. The price is average.

Restaurant Name: La Finca de Susana

Set in a quiet street close to Alcal� and a short walk from the Puerta del Sol, this airy open-plan restaurant with its bright modern decor offers a winning combination of inventive quality cuisine and highly affordable prices. Vegetables in tempura batter and an exceptionable choice of rice and fish dishes head the individual specialities and the desserts are simple and delicious. Service is smart and efficient and best value is its set weekday lunch. This is one place you should eat earlier than the usual Spanish hours as there's no booking and queues soon gather, especially at lunchtimes, due to its understandable popularity. (Try 1:30pm then instead of an hour later.)

Favorite Dish: All the salads are delicious and I never dissapointed with the service... Main courses 5�-10� ($6.75-$12); set lunch 7� ($8.05)

Local Ambiance and great food. If you are going out on Friday for tapas I suggest you to start on this little restaurant ( around 8:30 pm) with three tapas and continue another tapas bar in the area. Very good food and value...

Favorite Dish: Pulpo a la Gallega (Octopus with potetoes), Gambas a la Ajilla ( Shrimp with garlic), Chorizo ( Spanish pastrami) are my favorites ....

Restaurant Name: Tapas/ El Almendro

Get here early in the evening because there are not many tables and you will not want to stand all night waiting for the delicious tapas to arrive. You probably will not want to share the tapas either because they're so good. Shout your order through the kitchen window and the bell will sound when the food is ready. Try the wild boar blood pudding, the savoury toasted bagels, Roscas, or their famous fried egg dishes, and wash them down with a glass of beer or Fino sherry. You will find this bar in the lively nightlife district of La Latina, not far from the Rastro (Fleamarket). The old-fashioned interior was recently restored in a simple and attractive combination of plaster, brick and woodwork.

Restaurant Name: Cerveceria Cien Montaditos

"Cien Montaditos" means 100 little sandwiches. It is a great place to have a quick snack with a beer or coke. You write the sandwiches you want on the papers which are on the tables . As soon as your order is ready they announce your name and you pick it up. So many to choose I loved the idea. I always go the one on Calle Mayor,22 which is very closed to Plaza Mayor. Great service, they are very good. Enjoy it:))
