Beautiful and Incomparable Paris.... oh la la!

by Laura_Mexico - last update: Jul 27, 2007

The Champs Elysees at dawn
I can't describe what Paris makes me feel. It's a magical town full of romance, history and beauty, and having visited it 5 times now I really feel comfortable walking around it and getting to know it better... I feel like at home. The myth of the parisian people being cold and rude isn't always true, I also found nice people willing to help the tourists. But I basically was on my own all the time and I never felt afraid or lost -- and of course knowing some basic French doesn't hurt!!

Paris is a very expensive town, that's for sure. Be ready to pay loads of money for nearly anything: food, museum entrances, tours, lodging, even renting a PC with internet access. But it's definitely worth it. Every time I'm there, I'd never want to leave. Every single experience becomes exciting regardless of how simple it is: walking along the river or eating your baguette while lying on the grass in front of the Eiffel Tower, biking around the town, taking the metro, buying an ice cream or a warm waffle at the street stands. I have a strange addiction to Paris which makes me want to visit it every time I am in Europe and I was utterly happy to be able to spend some days there again in 2007!! Here are some of the tips and pictures I could gather here...

This page will continue to be under construction for a while then, please come back!!

In A Nutshell:"The loveliest and best town in the world!"

Hi Laura - I loved reading your tips and especially about the bike tour you mentioned in the forum! Your front page says these are still under construction, so I hope you get a chance soon to finish them so we can read more. Ciao!
