  • Catalunya square altogether with Ramblas boulevard is the best point to start your visit in Barcelona.. Gothic quarter, Born or aka La Riber quarter, the seafront and Raval are at hand from this square.. be so aware of mob people and pickpockets all the time.. so be carefull with your belongings.. craps apart, the square offer so many activities at hand and too many malls on each side.. El Corte ingles or el Triangle with Fnac inside are worth to visit. Also is a departing point of many all night buses in Bcn, the several lines of tourist bus and the airport bus

The church is really beautifull indoors and outdoors....there are some terraces or just street steps to rest for a while beneath its shadow but so blood y expensive !! try to look for it !!

  • Located in one end of Plaça del Pi this is a narrow and gorgeous street that lead to the shooping one, Portaferrissa st. You will get in that strret this amazing snack bar where u can eat hot chocolate with "melindros" (spanish desert) or the classis "suizo" (swiss) hot chocolate with milk cream on the top joined with croissant or any other kind of "boulangerie".. side by side there is a mountain book store specialized in Pirynees books.. some other shops of art stuff are up there !! its so cool !!

  • The best way to get these streets is taking Princesa streets or Argenteria st and turn left.. or from Cathedral square you cross the Via Laietana bd and straight .. both options are well .. to the left towards Santa Maria del Mar church or to the right towards Urquinaona and Arc de Triomf monument

The Barcelona neighborhood markets were one of my favorite stops the last time I visited the city in 1998. I did the vast majority of my shopping in these areas. Although I didn't shop much, I loaded up on apples, oranges (expensive), & carrots.
