Getting TO/AROUND: I flew from Barcelona through Madrid To Ezeiza also known as Ministro Pistarini after 13 or 14 hours flying... the flight was in a jumbo aircraft and the service into was excellent ...i can say that Aerolineas has a great catter to the passengers into the planes..maybe its not the best on the airports because there are a several strikes every year and you never know beforehand if your plane will take off on time or will be delay Barajas was a chaos.....so long corridors and at all well designed and sometimes lost in those long halls and corridors walking astrayed by there...a real mess

Getting TO/AROUND: Ezeiza is smaller than i could imagine before ...there are several small terminal ...after my plane landed at 2355h we spent some time on the customs where you need the stamp and show the paper writted before in the plane for non nationals where you have to describe how many days will you be there, and where will you go in Argentina... stupid bureaucracy inspired by stupid rules ...well the customs are so bored and you will waste quite enough time just for a bloddy stamp.... After the baggage claim process there is the main hall .... PAY SO MUCH ATTENTION TO THIS...never never never take any cab on the street in front of the arrivals hall....there is a stall just in the middle where you can see fares to Capital or surroundings ...they will type your name and where you go and the driver after some minutes will come to u and ask for ur ticket (you pay there, not to the driver) and he carry u wherever u need or u ask for ... its a great deal Its reallly DANGEROUS to take a cab outside in the airport and more dangerous at night !! The main reason u dont have to pay them inside the cab is dued so many harms at hand driving in Buenos Aires main city and surroundings

Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: Buenos Aires has 5 main subway lanes ..really crowded at rush hours and recall a speciall eye to your belongs....The most dangerous stations after sunset are Constitucion so dark outside and amidst a park really suggestable to walk alone with no clear destination..Also retiro is not a good place...who knows what could expect there ! The green line goes up to the more posh neighbourhoods in the city where all is quiet and no problem could be report..red and light blue as well... Move inside the subway is easy and cheap ...each ticket costs just 0.70 centavos so its nothing coverting it in euros and all the conexions are well indicated on the walls All the routes starts from Plaza de mayo or surroundings so its a good point for those who are lost at the first moment...you know that if you take the subway in a wrong direction at last you will be in the original point ...plaza de mayo Besides into the wagon a voice and a scroll screen shows the next station and connexions

Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: An impressive local bus network run up and down all the city... you have to look to the front and located in wich direction you are ...so you will know if its the right bus or not... just for the origin and the final point....the main buses starts on the main avenues or squares so its not hard to take it ..the fee is 0.70 also.... The best important thing is that you will need COINS ...its the sole chance to buy the ticket because the driver dont charge it ...there is a machine.....you have to tell to the driver where you want to go and release the machine with the fee...0.70 this is usefull if you go outside the city (quilmes, Avellaneda....) ..in other case is just 0.70....so keep well the coins and use to pay with bank notes in order to receive them as change

mrlgautier Sat Jan 24, 2009 22:00 UTC re, Perla, what I always do in my travels: Get a non-English menu off a table from the back of the restaurant. Now the prices are REAL! Keep the menu until you get the bill if you want to compare. And if you are good at it, the menu becomes a souvenir. | BillNJ Thu Jan 15, 2009 00:32 UTC Interesting page. | CarlosGardel Wed Mar 19, 2008 15:18 UTC Yes, they loose their lives because of the stupid politicians and the stupid Americans that help England when they where loosin the war. | rodrigobrrio Mon Dec 3, 2007 00:37 UTC for the ppl seeing this page I´d like to disagree on that BS AS is dangerous or polluted. compared to big european cities like madrid or paris it is very calm and clean. and it is not good for just a few days cause it´s too big and interesting. . |
