Shildon Shops and train museum County Durham
I visit Shildon quite often, and am still amazed at the specialist shops that this little village in County Durham has to offer. I always visit Sweet Greetings, which i found after ordering from the old fashioned sweet website, www.sweetgreetingsshildon.co.uk so have them to thank for finding this great place. The railway museum is also well worth a visit and just browse the local shops on offer. This village is the real birthplace of the Railways and a hidden gem. It even has the best no1 voted cobbler in the UK 2010
