I ran into some friends from Texas that would come to visit me in my hometown every couple of years, then we would make the one and a half hour drive from there to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I never bothered to take any pictures, but remembered that they used to take plenty. When I asked about getting copies, here were the responses:
1. "About 2 of the fifty pictures I took were in focus. About six I took with the lens cap on. I was pretty gone."
2. "I destroyed them before my wife would find them."
3. "We went to New Orleans!?!? It was all such a blur."

New Orleans is dirty, sleazy, and inherently evil. It was built by crooks, pirates (Jean Lafitte), and con men. It is also the most fun and amazing city I have ever been to. Think Las Vegas....but with CULTURE. I highly suggest going there, just not living there.
