Thanks a lot for stopping by friends...I am leaving for ship on 25/05/2012 and will not be able to stay in touch for next 6 months approximately..I will keep in touch if I get internet and hope to meet some VT members as I will be joining in Europe. And my next ship mostly trading in Europe or US.

My daughter Gayatri.Gayatri (Sanskrit: गायत्री, gāyatrī)

She is now about to finish her 2 years, this is her first picture I am updating on VT. This picture I took during our trip to Kodaikanal and she was just enjoying here trip which , Which made me thought of adding her picture here, I am sure she will be joining VT in future enjoying her association with VT like me.

Gayatri Devi

She is the Princess of Jaipur, Rajmata of Jaipur.I saw almost all the pages of Jaipur by lot of people but not a single person mentioned about her or I dont think anybody knew anything about her. She was famous for her Classical beauty and its absolutely true for her. She is in the list of 'The Ten Most Beautiful Women of the World' along with actress Leela Naidu by the Vogue Magazine. In today's world its difficult to see this kind of grace on face and for Gayatri Devi its true till she died.

I was and still I am big fan of her from my school days. During my school days I did not had access to internet but once I have come across her picture while reading a magazine. I cut her picture from magazine and still have that paper cutting with me.

And Leela Naidu is also equally famous for her Classical beauty.

And I have been asked by many people about the reason why I choose my daughter name " Gayatri ". To be honest with you all " Gayatri Devi " is not the reason. In india we follow custom of keeping name of kid following time and date when the kid is born. For my daughter I had to choose name starting with letter " G " and " S " so after lot of homework we decided to keep her name " Gayatri " and we can call this coincidence or some deliberate thing my daughter name is Gayatri. And even my wife asked me is she the reason behind our daughter's name????????

About myself

Hello Friends, I am Mehulraj and I am marine Engineer by profession. I work on Tankers, Tankers which carries crude or petroleum products. And my travel experience outside of india is not that brief, we get few hours port stay for loading/discharging and its difficult to go out on shore leave as lot of maintenance work going on during that time.

Still I am lucky to visit few places around the world and had my great time.

I have taken picture of Gayatri devi's palace from distance. I was in the wrong company of people. They were not tourists, he was interested more in meeting his relatives rather than, visiting sites. I also did not carry my D-90 and lenses as it was my official visit , just carried my under water Olympus 8010. Most of the people did not go out just to please the boss as the boss did not go out. He came back from Russia after a pleasure trip. I have managed the picture of Palace. Yes, you can visit Jalmahal.
