"The island of Gods and wind" Crete Island by janchan

The biggest and the most diverse of Greek islands. We could only visit half of it (the eastern part) during our 8 days trip, but we hope to come back soon to visit the western part too...
So many things to see, the Minoan sites, beautiful sea and mountains, the nice villages of the interior, the old monasteries, the white churches, the impressive gorges, the great people and traditions.
We definitely preferred the southern coast because much less developed and touristic.

I must come back there for Hryssi island :) and other nature beauties of Crete, South of Crete is the real Greek island :) and real life of Greeks, not so touristy but wonderful for dreaming :)
Beautiful pictures!, lovely page :-)
Very excellent photography and many helpful tips. Your narratives capture your passion for the island and your perception about people and places.
