    • Rome is also the city of the cats... they are everywhere, and many of them live around Roman ruins.
    In Largo Argentina there's the Sanctuary of cats, where good-hearted volunteers help, cure and feed them.

    If you get around... don't forget to visit... they need your offers too ! :)

    • As in the ancient Rome, Romans love the hot-springs.
    The area around Rome is vulcanic, so there are several places where you can find hot water coming from the underground. Hmmmmmmm.... a so relaxing experience !!
    In the pic the 'Bullicame' near Vetralla (VT)... about 80 km north-west of Rome.

    • One of traditions of Italians and Romans too is playing cards.
    We use mostly two types of Italian cards, Piacentine (from the city of Piacenza) and Napoletane (from Napoli). The games are the same and the most famous are "briscola", "scopa", "tresette" and many many others !

    Ask me if you want to know the rules !!! :)

    • Around the main attractions of the center, such as the Colosseum, the Forum or Piazza Venezia you will see these people dressed like Roman soldiers. You can take a picture with them paying some euros... :) ...quite kitsch, but many tourists enjoy !
    This one in the picture was going back home... after a hard working day... by bus ! :)
