Often mistaken for a small city out in the middle of nowhere, Columbus is actually the opposite of that belief. Yearly, the city expands in all directions, and the population soars with new residents coming to the Ohio capital. Columbus has its own NHL team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the New York Yankees' farm team, and a slew of other athletic entities usually reserved for "bigger" cities. The downtown is a booming urban centre glittered with artists' colonies, historical districts, and parks that please a variety of peoples. There are upscale nightclubs and restaurants throughout the city, which add to the urbane atmosphere of this city. Columbus is not the tiny town in the farmlands that it is thought to be.
