It's always an adventure...

My oldest daughter was a Rockette for several years and it was wonderful to be able to go see her in those great Christmas shows. She was in the traveling troupe for a few years and when we went to see her in Boston, it was my first experience traveling during a winter blizzard. But like our family always insists, it's an adventure, so just go with it and enjoy the ride!

Boston in Before the Blizzard

We only had a day before and one day after my daughter's performance to see Boston. We got in a few sites before the blizzard hit. Then everything was covered in white and we weathered the frigid temps to enjoy what we could.

Black Panther and the TSA

The canceled flight and the airport the next morning were even more an adventure. I am a people watcher and I always seem to catch people in interesting situations. When my husband decided we should go to the American Eagle counter instead of AA to try to check in for our flight, I was observing interesting events transpiring behind us. I heard a TSA agent call out for the State Police. When the State Police arrived on the scene, a ticket of one of the passengers was torn up and the State Police stated that due to events surrounding 9/11, the passenger was not allowed to fly. I had whispered to my husband to give me the camera and I started snapping pictures of the Black Panther that I had only heard about when I was a teenager in the 70s. My wacky thinking was that it was a celebrity type siting and I didn't want to miss getting a photo of a real live Black Panther person. Not thinking about any other issues, politicial or otherwise, until I spied the State Police looking directly at me through the viewfinder of the camera and his stern warning to me not to take photos in the airport. At least he didn't confiscate our camera and I at least got a blurry photo for posterity? Like I said, it's always an adventure. Oh, and I probably shouldn't post that picture, just in case Big Brother is watching.
