Harmony Studios is my weekly gift to myself, so I have to share it with the Virtual Tourist world. Because it really is like my L.A. sanctuary. It's hidden away and zen-chic.

To describe the setting would be difficult, but I'll try; it has a canopy of trees surrounding and almost camouflaging it, and inside whilst working out, you can see the subtle sun rays shining through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and a great music selection is always available or the sound of the wind and birds chirping can be the soundtrack for the session, all depending on your preference. Either way, it creates a vibe unlike any other gym or studio.

Sure the equipment is top of the line, and the studio is clean, eco-friendly and has a very fun staff, but it's the actual results i see with each workout that keeps me coming back.

And 2nd to the painless workouts (that somehow manage to keep me slim despite a deep love of ice cream and french cheeses), is the aesthetic appeal of this studio; as it is definitely one of the most serene awe-inspiring pilates-friendly environments I've ever encountered. Maybe that's why so many celebrities seem to be regulars. That and the hidden-away privacy aspect probably doesn't hurt!

The instructors are very knowledgeable of their craft and can tell you more about your body's strengths and the areas that need work in one session than i learned in years of pilates at various other studios, in various other cities, and countries even!

Whenever I have a friend visiting from out of town, I send them to Harmony or I sign us up for a group class. They thank me for it afterwards, every time!
