Cameron Highlands in Pahang state (I always have this stupid idea that it was in Perak state =) is one of Malaysia's most popular tourist destinations in the mountains. Tea plantations, rose garden, cactus farms, strawberry farms, vegetables farms, beautiful landscapes, lovely english houses with chimney and I like most the cool weather. A great place to relax with friends and family.
Cameron Highlands was discovered in 1885 by English surveyor William Cameron, and later after 40 years, Sir George Maxwell (Did he discover Maxwell hill in Taiping?) helped development Cameron Highlands as a hill station. Then later English styles house which some you can see in tudor design, schools and a golf course, as British and local people settled in. Farmers and tea planters also come to the valley, and thats how a few tea plantations in Cameron because the British like to drink tea??
