Milan is the beating heart of Italy. In the past, heavy industries set their factories in the area, mostly in the Northern border of the city (Sesto San Giovanni, Monza, Cinisello), but in the latest decades, financial services, fashion and design completely substituted them. With respect to many other Italian cities, Milan is not one among the most important by a tourist point of view. Leonardo's Cenacolo (Last Supper), the medieval Sforzesco Castle, the romano-gothic Duomo (Cathedral) and a bunch of romanic churches are the outstading attractions. On the contrary, it is a town where high standard of living and services are available for traders, entrepreneurs; a good transportation network, easy airport and railway links make it easy to be reached and easy to get around from there. Have a look at "Lago Maggiore" pages... |
