Lived here from may 1993 to November 1998. More soon.
Okay, time being what it is in the modern age, I shall obviously have to sit down and really apply myself some time soon to getting out five years of pointers and observations for you all. Until then, suffice it to say that the Czech lands are great.
Okay, sure, they ARE cheap: one can feast and drink like a Templar in Prague for, oh let us say, 2500kc, or about US$70 ( and that is A LOT of beer, boys and girls. Average pint is around 15-20kc or about US$0.50). Yes, the beer is the BEST, at least as far as beer beer goes (okay, yes, german Weizen and that yummy stuff the Belgians make, but this is BEER, dammit).
They drink constantly (highest beer per capita comsumption in the world. YES, more than Germany).
The women are beautiful (especially Moravian, especially form the city of Zlin). Alas, the men are drippy, generally.
The country is beautiful, with more untouched chateaus and castles per square kilometer than any other place in Europe. HAD the densest train network in Europe before CD started selling it off piecemeal.
Anyway, deatails are what you want and those are a comin'. Until then,
