As you can see in the above picture, the old church tower (in the background behind the Roland) which was destroyed in WW II in March 1943 now has been restored in Nov 2009!

an interesting page ! It is a pity I did not see a lot of this nice place, when I rushed through it on my way to Schulau, waving good-bye to the "Freedom of the Seas" :-(
