Visiting this beautiful place was the highlight of my California trip. The scenery was just indescribable. Pebble Beach was about a 45-minute drive from Gilroy and is located in the Monterey Peninsula. There is a toll to 17-mile drive, but I think it’s definitely worth the money. I’ve never seen such breathtaking scenery in my life.
Along the drive, there are numerous points of interest. There are of course, the expensive multi-million dollar homes of the rich and famous. There are the golf courses, the most famous being the Pebble Beach Golf Links where Tiger Woods won the 100th US Open this year. But my favourites would have to be Spanish Bay, Point Joe and the Lone Cypress Tree.
