That's me completing my US Customs card in the Vancouver International Airport. I was on my way to San Jose, CA! ---- I decided to give myself a late birthday present by going to California in November 2000 and vacationing there for a few days. I was going to stay at my friend's place in Gilroy, CA and we were planning on visiting places around silicon valley, San Francisco and the Monterey area. Unfortunately, shortly before my trip, I caught a very very bad cold that only got worse when I reached San Jose. Throughout my trip, I was feeling ill most of the time and in fact, our road trip to San Francisco had to be cut short a few hours because I was so sick :( I am so glad and thankful that Anchella and David were there for me. Thanks to them (and travel medical insurance), I managed to fly safely back home. Anyhow, despite my condition, I still managed to do some sightseeing, most notably at Pebble Beach in the 17-mile drive, as well as visiting Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. I also did some shopping at the outlets in Gilroy. So, even if I didn't get to see all the places I planned on seeing, I still had a decent vacation. Most importantly, I had a terrific time with Anchella and David, and this trip gave me the opportunity to rekindle and celebrate old friendships.
