Baltimore has a very cool downtown area with a lot of the attractions centered around the Harborplace area next to the water. Within a 2 mile radius you will find shops, restaurants, clubs, the Science Center and the National Aquarium. There are many hotels in this area and you are able to walk to most of the attractions that you want to see. Another helpful items for visitors is they have the option of taking a light rail train from BWI airport to downtown so they don't need a car.

Camden Yards is the baseball stadium for the Baltimore Orioles. It is one of the best places to watch a baseball game in the country even though the team suck. It was built in 92 and it is the first of the new wave of stadiums that are in the major leagues now. There are a ton of great places to eat in the stadium including Boog Powell's BBQ pit. Boog was a former Oriole player from the 60's and 70's Outside the stadium are statues of former Orioles legends including Cal Ripken

I guess the most popular attraction in Baltimore is the Aquarium. This is one of the first of the big aquariums around the country. The aquarium is really good. It is expensive though. If you happen to be here in December be on the lookout for 1 dollar admission day. On that day the aquarium and other Baltimore attractions cut their admission price to 1 dollar for the day.
