Mauritania is a poor country... and other Mauritania Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

Mauritania is a poor country so you do not expect to find excellent hotels. Only at Nuakchott and Atar is posible to find a confortable hotel.
We stay in Halima Hotel (Nuakchott. One of the best of the capital and it is perfect to rest between hard days in desert. The price varies from a single (15.000 ouguiyas), double 17.000 to a suite (35.000).
Aprox. 1$= 250 oug. Try some other hotels

Convert Ouguiyas into any other currency

The rest of the trip we slept in youth hostal (not as they use to be in the rest of the world). They are highly modest but people is kindly and minimum services are given.
