"Hi there" shibabigk's Profile

Me and my travel, well not sure there is much to tell. I am orginally from Germany and moved to the States a few years back. I travel to Germany at least once a year to spend time with family. I've been to quite a few of the western European countries, mostly on family vacations when I was younger though.
Now that I am all grown up (or trying to get ther anyway), I am trying to explore as much of this amazing world as possible. I haven't been able to travel much (or maybe just not as much as I would like) but I have some great things planned for this year.
I am absolutely passionate about nature and wildlife, as well as history and cultural stuff. I like to sit in a cafe and just watch local life go on. When I visit a new place I do like to check out the touristy stuff, I mean what's wrong with the empire state or BigBen? If I get to spend extra days or return for a second time I like to find the lesser known things and try to just soak up as much as possible. Since I am still kind new the US I still feel like a toursit here, too. Lots of stuff to discover!

I have two great trips planned for this year. In the late summer/early fall I will be heading to Honduras for a little over two weeks. Plan to see some ruins, do soem birdwatching and of course scuba dive. I am so excited about this trip!
For christmas I'll be going home to see my family in Germany and hope to also get to spend some time in another part of Europe, possibly Rome... No decision has been made yet, but it sure is fun to plan...
