"Valkenburg" Valkenburg by Sprucebeer

The Valkenburg area is beautiful and little did we know is a busy resort area. In the Provincie of Limburg, southern region of the Netherlands, the scenery changes from farmland in the East to hills, rolling landscape and lush forests.

Ok let’s set the record straight. We were in the Valkenburg area, but we thought we were in Valkenburg as we followed all the signs to here. However in doing some research I now find out we were actually in Berg en Terblijt on the River Geul hahhaaha. I have a feeling that Valkenburg is very close by and very similar scenery and style.

Kasteel Geulzicht

Berg en Terblijt at night is simply spectacular. We had no idea what a beautiful region we were heading into. I felt like I was back in time, in a small town or what seemed to be small at night, with a medieval fell to it.
