"In the shadow of the Red Cuillin" Broadford by Sprucebeer

Broadford

While on the Isle of Skye, we stayed in Broadford, the island’s 2nd largest village and the most significant settlement in South Skye. The village lies in the shadow of the Red Cuillin and spreads itself along the southern side of Broadford Bay.

Wee Pier

Broadford seems like a quiet little town with… yes… two harbours. We were fortunate enough to stay along one of the harbours, which is a wee pier, lying just behind the Dunollie Hotel.

Get away from the busy life

It is so peaceful on the Isle of Skye and in Broadford. Here you can get away from it all for a little while. It has a jewelry store with custom made jewelry, a craft shop and book store right by the wee pier. The general store just down the road from the Dunollie Hotel has almost everything you could need, including souvenirs and a selection of local beer.
