like being inside a hairdryer, but prettier!!

Many years ago, the first time I ever drove through the desert (in Arizona), I had a hard time getting used to the fact that everything was called "desert": Desert Boutique, Desert Store, Desert Restaurant. I kept reading "dessert". It took a few wasted stops to realize that I wasn't going to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Making our way through the desert, we drove without air conditioning to experience the desert full on. We drove with the windows closed; it was cooler that way. The only advantage to being there at noon was that the sun was directly overhead thus making it cooler. 10 minutes outside and you feel you've caught on fire....
