| Traditional Taiwanese Houses |
Lu Kung had its glory past. In an old Taiwanese proverb, Lukung was said as the second properous city in Taiwan next to Tainan but superior to Taipei. It was an important harbor between Central Taiwan and China then. Lu Kung is now a small town with many histrical and traditional houses due to its glory past. However many of the old houses are broken now due to the their ages and the recent earthquake. I saw many old buildings were torn down while some living old ones were mixed with the newly built ones. |
