My friends and I usually dine to our favorite restaurants, see new/old/revival broadway shows in a musical or a play, or see a new movie (preferably independent films, foreign films or non-hollywood films), or bar/club hopping, or go to a comedy club...so many things to do in NYC.
But if you are just visiting New York, you must see any broadway shows. It completes your visit to NY. There are two shows; matinee starts at 2:00pm and evening shows start at 8:00pm; go to TKTS for 25% to 50% discount. TKTS is located at 46th street and broadway. Avoid buying broadway show tickets from your hotels they tend to be expensive. A regular ticket of a broadway show in an orchestra or front mezzanine seat is $85. But if you prefer a show, for instance, Phantom of the Opera, which is not yet on sale on TKTS, then you should buy it from your hotel. It would cost you around $95 including all hidden charges.
