Narrow paved streets going up and down, white sparkling houses with courtyards,
alleys, souvenir shops of folk art,cafe-bars.You are not going to see any car inside the settlement. The cars the stop at the entrance of the village where is the square and a big tree.
The white houses have flat roofs, courtyards and the streets are stone-paved.
At the main square arrive every moment buses, cars and taxis with tourists.
The streets are full of the shops wares such as woven items, ceramics, bags, sandals, clothes.
The architecture of Lindos is different from the architecture of any other place
on the island.
The ship-owners mansions (16th, 17th and 18th century) with the stoned-facades dominate the area.
The village of Lindos has a history of thousands of years from the period of the rich Lindian ship-owners.It used to be one of the three doric cities of the island.
The main occupation of the locals had to do with sea due to infertility of the ground.
Nowadays, the main occupation is the tourism.
