under snow...just as I remember it!

FOUR YEARS I WOULD LIKE TO FORGET
How many people can say their high school never had a football field(just a paved parking lot) and YET you won the city football league 2x when you played football. Somehow alums find this normal....those that are still alive AND answer emails.

My "alma mater". It only graduated students untill the 80s...even before that there was so much violence they made it(along with Charlotte High) a middle school for a few years inbetween while they decided what to do with it.

Here it sits in 2003, forlorn...like an abused child.

I had a friend Peter from Russia call me at a pay phone accross the street at Alexander/Monroe because he had gotten lost on a trip to visit Rochfriends. He described the area he was in as scary, dilapidated and with a warehouse accross the street. When I figured out where he was...I said,,,see that "warehouse" accross the street?,,,THAT was my high school...to which he said,,,"NO WAYYYYY!"

This is the view of the parking lot at the defunct and boarded up SEARS where fellow MHSer Mike VanOrsdale and I agree we honed our shoplifting skills in the "old days". LOL
