The picture at the lower right is the Milky Way, the picture at the upper left is a star #gsc2176 blowing up. It was taken by the Hubble Space telescope using six different color filters and enhanced a gazillion times give or take a nano-zillion. Makes you feel small..right??

Those of us that remember the movie 2001 A SPACE ODDYSEY will likely remember we thought the events that transpired via HAL were somehow disturbing and hopefully someones scientific pipe dream. NOT! Events now transpire on a daily basis at Cape Canaveral(a name that changed long ago to Cape Kennedy)that would make 2001 seem "dated".

Plenty of VT'ers will give you directions to KSC(Kennedy Space Center) but only Captain America will give you food for thought AND help you plan your trip to Jupiter some day...rock on dudes and dude-ettes.

*(For the record, of course these are not my pictures, they are from the NASA and HUBBLE websites and as in all internet government photos they are public domain and are offerred for any non commercial use by citizens of the US of A. This is just for fun.)
