In 1993 I went to Kiev with a gospel singing group from USA. I had never heard much about Kiev or Ukraine before then and I never dreamed I would ever BE in such a place.In 1995 I returned to visit a good friend i had met at the TOURIST HOTEL(thats the name,,honest) on my prior trip...Peter Moskvitch from Lutsk.I met Peter on the first night of the first trip...He was there at a religious convention and I was there to sing.There was a group outside singing...and I recognised a tune I had sung with the choir by Don Monn. In fact we had just sung it with him in Orlando Florida not a month before. The song is titled...GOD WILL FIND A WAY by Don Moen... it ended up I would sing a verse in English alone...and the group would sing a verse in Ukranian...when I tried to speak in English one handsome fellow stepped forward /the only one who spoke English..Peter..he translated for me and became my personal interpretor the rest of our stay in Ukraine. |
