MUNICH...EVERY-TING EES VUNDERBAR!

by Michael_D - last update: Sep 10, 2002

I was walkng down Leopoldstrasse one day and I saw this guy taking a brisk walk! OK..I know its traditional to have your best shot of the Hofbrau House here, but Captain America has to be different. THE WALKING MAN is as worthy of super-hero status as Munich is worthy of super-travel status. Munich IS that good.If you like cities that are interesting, full of interesting sights and easy to get around then be prepared to LOVE Munich, for to me it is nirvana!
<p>
Also be prepared to fall in love with the entire area of Bavaria, for no country can boast of more castles or more well restored/fully intact castles than this area of Germany. The Germans managed to bomb many of Europes historical sites in WW2 but they certainly werent going to bomb their own castles. So they are fully intact.

Germans are also notorious for being boastfull. With all due respect to my good friend Keeweechic, they are the Texans of Europe. "YA YA EVERY-TING EES VUNDERBAR ERE"...yadda yadda...but you know what? They sound boastfull...because it's true. I cant think of a single area in Europe that has the history, architectural splender, facilities or great food that Bavaria has...nor can I think of a better gateway to Germany in general that MUNCHEN. Lets take a pictoral stroll with my friend Leo here. As Dana Carvy used to say on Saturday Night Live..."LEESEN TO ME NOW AND TANK ME LATER..I AHM HERE TO PUMP ...YOU UP!
