I was not in Croatia very long...and at the time it was still called Yugoslavia.It was in 1972 and I was taking the Orient Express one of its last years as a public train line. It went from Ooostend to Istanbul, but I only took it from Paris to Athens. Unfortunately, I was in Zagreb only long enough to look around and take a few pictures. It was interesting, but my train was about to leave. I will post the pictures.<B>

Years later in 1994, I toured with a singing group that came close to Zagreb by way of Ngystad on the Hungarian border. We sang a number of places and could hear bombs going off in the distance,,,when they came too close..we hurridly moved on. My trips to Bosnia have always been rushed...
