While there are 31 colleges within Oxford University, only 25 remain open to the public and the hours change at various intervals during the year. There is a tourist office near CARFAX TOWER (which offers the best view of the city) that will have a list of visitation times as well as a tour pamphlet that makes a cost-effective souvenir. Rest assured for those whose budgets allow, there is no shortage of great tour/picture books onsale in the city-centre.
