"THe Basilan Travel...are there tourist area here?." Province of Basilan by paolodecastro

I went to Lamitan for a project...
as usual...
but as i have always said
i try to go to places...theat represents the area that i have been .....

what else would best represent the area but their City Hall................

With then the Governor of Basilan with colleagues

Accoding to some people there
the safest area in Lamitan would be up to the City Hall only...
after City Hall area...no one knows..:(
if someone not from the area tried to cross that
im sorry
but you're a dead meat.........

I dont know if there are tourist spots there...
what i saw were just rubber trees..
plentry of areas planted with rubber trees...........

I together with my colleagues......
rode PAL from manila - Zamboanga
then we used roro from Zamboanga port to Lamitan.........
we stayed here in the hotel owned by the Vice-Mayor of Lamitan
He has his own security guards...
they said it is a necessity in the area.........

from zamboanga port to Lamitan it took us about 6 hours
usually they said it will just take 1.5 hours
but there have been a problem in the roro
some said they were scared because we might be attacked by the pirates
when we are in the ocean.....
i thank God i went home safe

that trip is really kinda dangerous...
Dangerous after it sink to your mind that you have been to Basilan...
but when youre out there for the first time
you will say its not that dangerous......
you will say it is an adventure.......

• Pros:its good for the sake that you have been there done that.. kinda thing.......
• Cons:Its very risky........
• In a nutshell:It is a very unforgettable travel...i dont want to experience again ever......
