"HEJ KOBENHAVN" a Copenhagen Travel Page by Bigs

My good friend Belli moved to Kopenhagen in December 2007 and as it seems I will be there more often in the future.

My last trip there was in february 2008 and guess what the sun shines in Copenhagen in winter as well. Spend some time cruising around on my friends bike "Cactus" (it's green). It's a great way to explore the city, all Copenhageners ride bikes and the city has bike lines all over...

I accidently met these young guys at he change of guards at the Amalienborg palace... At noon they are changing every day and I like their hats and uniforms and the way they stop for red traffic lights.....

Sure this is the most well known sight in Copenhagen -the little mermaid. It is really small and I always thought overrated. It all changes with sunshine.....cause it's nice to sit by the quayside and watch the habour een if there is not much traffic in the water.

If you like architecture and design Copenhagen is the place to be. The city is or has been a big construction site over the last years and the new buildings are all worth a view. This for example is the new opera..... But the new royal theatre and the royal library for example are more architectural highlights....not to mention Tuborg Havn or the America Pier..... A must!!!
