Ciao tutti! | View from the Campanile next to the duomo |
Welcome to the city of Firenze. Some say itīs the most beautiful place in Italy. And it really is a special place thatīs for sure. So much history is surrounding you wherever you go. If itīs a fresco at an old house or the popular "David" of Michelangelo. You always feel the charme of another era.
Please have a look at my travelogues as well, there are more lovely pics of this renaissance place!
Enjoy your stay here!

| | Have a look at the quiet areas too! I love these quiet areas of Florence where not many tourists ever go... Itīs the charme of those tiny streets on the other side of the Arno for example that are so lovely....... This has been the street where we stayed at the Residenza Il Carmine... It has been a wonderful place!!! |
| | The famous Galleria dellīUffizie If you have more than a day in Florence this is a must see I think, Never have been inside, but have to visit this collection of great art next visit thatīs for sure....... In summer itīs really crowded and you ahve to queue up at the entrance...... in winter you can walk straight in.......and you will find more days with museum weather at that time of year too.......
This is the view on the buildings from the Palazzo Vecchio, also an exhibition thatīs worth the visit..... |
