The Lysice castle is residence with an extremely rich building history which began with a Renaissance water fortress. This stronghold was first changed into a Renaissance castle in the first half of the 17th century and then during the 18th century into a Baroque castle. The last noblemen owning the castle at the beginning of the 19th century were Dubsky of Trebomyslice. During their ownership the castle had been changed to its present appearance of a family chamber residence. In its interior with the atmosphere of a noble residence of the last century, you can also admire a collection of Czech glass and the sets of oriental works of art. The castle armoury is full of arms of European origin and contains a complete collection of Japanese arms. Also three historic libraries are worth seeing of which one is devoted to Maria Ebner von Eschenbach, Countess Dubsky, a well-known Austrian writer.
