The chateau is standing in the centre of the village next to the parish church on place of the former keep. The keep was in hands of the local lords from Nezdenice and it was probably wasted during the wars of Mathias Korvin with Jiri from Podebrady, but it was restored again. From the year 1589 belonged the village to the family Bartodejsky; in the 1637 Menhart Marsinay bought the village from Fridrich Kalkreuter. By those days is the keep still mentioned as existing.

In 1714 were Nezdenice sold to family Serenyi, who turned the keep into a small Baroque chateau. From the year 1740 were the estates in the hands of the family Kounic, who sold them to the family Herring in the year 1815. Jan Herring built here on place of the Baroque chateau a new chateau in Empire style. It is simple two-storeyed building in the centre of a park. Brothers Spisek bought and repaired the chateau and it was in their hands till the year 1948.
