We used a holiday apartment in Füssen as our base for three days in the Allgäu. From here we went to nearby Neuschwanstein castle but also to Lake Constance and Oberstdorf. |

| | Füssen is a nice little town in the very south of Germany, not far from the Austrian border. It's basically famous because it's so close to the famous castles of the Bavarian kings, e.g. Neuschwanstein.
But even without those this would be a nice place with a colourful old town, a massive castle overlooking town, a big dark-green lake and some mountains very close. |

richiecdisc Wed Aug 31, 2005 10:07 UTC Looks sunny enough for a biergarten to me. ;) We are recovered from Kartina pretty well now. Just our freezer is bare from having to eat/chuck all the food in there. :S |
