We went to Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the second stage of the four hill skijumping tournament. It was my first visit to a skijumping event and it was great fun really. |
|  | Unfortunately the only places in Garmisch-Partenkirchen that I saw were the railway station and the skijumping stadium, so this isn't a very helpful page if you are planning a holiday I'm afraid! |

| | The competition was very exciting. A lot of favourites including Sven Hannawald (Germany) and Janne Ahonen (Finland) fell down after having landed. The winner was Primoz Peterka (Slovenia). |

You goofball, the ski stadium is only 4-6 blocks from the train station, I lived in garmisch for 3 years and everything is within walking distance. You ought to try walking more than just to the refrigerator and couch... | mtncorg Thu Feb 5, 2004 21:43 UTC

One of my favorite events in the Olympics is the ski jumping and always in amazement at the heights and distances they achieve. Lucky you to be there at the event. |
