"Go to Galway!!!"....

....that's the first thing we heard when we arrived in Dublin for the first time in 1990 and asked for the way to our hostel. And we heard it many times more so we decided to check what the story is....

We went there, liked the pubs and we liked to hang around Eyre Square all day. We didn't actually do much and lived in a hostel where it smelled like a rabbit cage.

Anyway, this year (2001) I came back to see more of town and country.... We were on our way along the west coast and decided to stay in Galway for the night before heading on to Connemara and the Aran Islands. And it's these three locations that this page is about...

Pros and Cons

Pros:Great scenery! Galway's nightlife is great. Aran Islands are wonderful!
Cons:A lot of rain in this part of Ireland unfortunately
In a nutshell:Go to Galway ;-)
