As Hamburg is one of my favourite cities in Germany and it's quite close to where I am originally from I used to be here quite often. |
|  | Port I love it because it's got this gorgeous port and a lot of water everywhere in the city.
Did you know that with more than 2000 bridges Hamburg is the city with the most bridges in Europe?
Loads more than Amsterdam or Venice.... I think I should start counting, it still sounds unbelieveable to me!
In 2001 I was there for the port's birthday. It was a lovely day with a lot of tall ships in the port and loads of sunshine. The pics are on this page and in a travelogue! |
Sport There's lots of sports events here that I went to. We compete in an 8 hour rowing relay regatta here every year in summer. Apart from that this is a great place to watch sports such as horseraces or tennis - and a shopping paradise as well!! We also went here a lot for concerts! | | | Rowing relay in the thunderstorm |

Water everywhere on the photos. My chief came back from Hamburg and on the photos he made there there is no water at all, only city scenes. And I've begun to have doubts whether Hamburg is a port city. :-)) | RhineRoll Sun Dec 19, 2004 18:58 UTC
2.5 Jahre???? Schwere Sünde!!!! Ich fahre natürlich über Weihnachten und bleibe bis Silvester oben. Habe mir von meinen Eltern gewünscht, dass wir einen Tag nach Lübeck fahren, war ja im November da, hab aber nix gesehen :-((( |
