We came to San Diego for a few days because we had to attend a business meeting in Los Angeles and wanted to see some more than the "big city". When we went into downtown San Diego we were surprised how small this other "big city" in Southern California really is. It's not about skyscrapers and traffic jams here but about beaches and parks it seems. |
| | Unfortunately we came in June and noone had warned us about the "June Gloom" before. The skies were grey almost all the time. But luckily "it never rains in Southern California" ... even though it looks as if it will start soon most of the time ;-) |
| The only blue skies over downtown San Diego |
| | Oh well, the weather wasn't as beautiful as the California of my dreams was, San Diego was not my first "big American city experience" because it was too small and relaxed but nevertheless we enjoyed our days in this city. And as soon as we went shopping the sun came out even ;-) |

I drove by this church for the first time yesterday and was stunned! I could not believe how beautiful this church was. Not gothic by any means. | vesna04 Thu Nov 17, 2005 21:07 UTC Nicely done.
