Hi!

OK, I think it's harder to write something about the country you come from than to write about places you've just visited on holidays. Another problem is that a lot of people on VT have seen much more of Germany than I have --- even though some of them live thousands of miles away!

Be warned .. this is a "Schloss Neuschwanstein" free zone. I haven't been to all the very touristy places in Germany so I will try to give you some advise of a bit more "off the wall" things to do... Hope you enjoy them!

I doubt every 7th EU citizen is that close to D-dorf after the expansion but what a wonderful page this is! Even main tips are "off the beaten path" sometimes. I love this Neuschwansteinless page! :)

We too travelled with V-bird they are an up and coming airline in my view.

Big Country. There is so much to see and to do and to...eat and drink :) Do the prices went as much up? Schnitzel that used to be 15DM is now 8Euro. It is not that bad. Anyhow, great tips.

Didn't know you could find speaking toilets in Germany! Here in Japan, everything talks...even my bathtub when it's filled up...and just to give you an idea about toilets: the ones here also blowdry..!

This deposit on cans and bottles is so annoying! It's good that you point it out, after all this system is even confusing to some Germans.
