Bern is my favourite place to go when it's raining. Because of all the arcades you can go shopping all day without getting wet.

For me Bern is the nicest city in Switzerland. However, if you are planning a holiday in Switzerland try to get out of the cities and into the mountains! They are what make this country so special and beautiful, it's not about cities....

Pros and Cons

Pros:Great shopping, beautiful old houses and interesting views
Cons:Switzerland is not about cities, it's about mountains!
In a nutshell:The nicest of all Swiss cities for me. Unfortunately I normally go here when it's raining!
